What you’ll learn

You will learn to teach mindfulness practices as a professional development.  In so doing you will enhance your own mindfulness practise, and this will greatly enhance your ability to respond to your life with a conscious and clear attainment of what is valuable to you.  You will be give an overview of secular (non-religious) science based mindfulness tools to work with calming the nervous system.  But you will also receive an overview of the greater philosophy of “why?” as much as “how” to practise.  We will look at commonly held reasons that people seek mindfulness and there will be opportunities to ask questions about how these personal struggles cross into a career path and how to approach each jointly.  You will learn to take guided meditations and to introduce mindfulness as a daily habit.  We will consider how compassion is linked to the present moment observation.  Discuss trauma and how to work safely with these experiences, even within the work environment.  There will be peer review and a short “open book” exam that will qualify you as having completed the course.  You will receive a digital certificate of completion and a electronic badge to use as your credential.  Lastly, there is a model that you can opt into that will give you on-going support in a one-to-one model with Glenda.  Other support includes newsletters and retreat offers.

It is a requirement that you are familiar with mindfulness practice.  Glenda is the lead facilitator for Australasia’s most prolific mindfulness training: Mindfulness Works.  Should you come to this professional training without having done personal training – please do nto be discouraged.  You can complete a 4-week course with her online that will give you the fullest of introductions to mindfulness.  Email glenda.irwin@icloud.com to enquire as to how this can be achieved.

If you can present a fully comprehensive outline of your mindfulness use – you are ready to take up this training.  It is an absolute requirement however, that you practice meditation daily.  There will be a brief interview to discuss this with each applicant who wishes to train on ‘Mindfulness + Facilitator Training Programme.’

What’s the investment?

Where and how long does it take to train?

The 8 two-hour sessions are offered live via Zoom.  There are no recorded or video facilitated trainings – you are with your teacher and peers and are encouraged to bring your curious mind to all 8 sessions.  Supervision is required for your certification to remain active and there will be on-going support models actions as you continue in your mindfulness teaching journey.  Mindfulness teacher training goes on for a lifetime; but your initial training (that by which you can offer mindfulness practice to others) will be completed within 8 weeks.

Take the next step.

It is a journey of self-esteem, self-awareness, and ultimately giving back.  This skill is transferable, life long, and frankly the outreach to wisdom.  Nothing can prepare you for your better self, other than the experience of awakening to what is here, what you value, and helping others attain that clarity is the awesome charge of a mindfulness trainer.  Take these steps into your power as a facilitator of some the most ancient and yet, scientifically affirmed practices for regulating emotions and attaining a thriving life.  Thereafter, choose to connect with others who have stepped up, as a connection to people who truly have your back and who are also committed to living consciously, authentically, and with true purpose.
